To ask the Minister for Social Protection the number of people on a core social welfare payment who are also recipients of a child dependent payment; and if she will provide a breakdown of same – Thomas Pringle.

There were 263,515 families in receipt of qualified child increases across the various social welfare schemes administered by the Department of Social Protection on the 31^st of December 2011. A breakdown by scheme is provided in the attached tabular statement.
