Ocean FM: PRINGLE CLAIMS H.E.A. WILL NOT PROVIDE FUNDING TO RELOCATE KILLYBEGS CAMPUS
- Updated: 16th September 2013
A Donegal South West Deputy says the Higher Education Authority will not allocate funding to relocate the College of Tourism in Killybegs to the Letterkenny Campus of L.Y.I.T.
Deputy Thomas Pringle claims he has received information that there will be no capital funding over the next few years to facilitate the relocation.
Earlier this year, the option of moving the School of Tourism to Letterkenny on a phased basis, was recommended in the context of the Institute’s Financial Plan.
The Independent Deputy states the authority will now examine the implications of taking the college out of the area on a social and economic basis.
Deputy Pringle says management now need to work to maintain the current establishment in Killybegs-listen here.
