To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the position regarding Gweedore Sewerage Scheme in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government (Mr. P. Hogan)

The Gweedore Sewerage Scheme is included in my Department’s Water Services Investment Programme 2010 – 2013 as a scheme to commence construction during the lifetime of the Programme.

Donegal County Council has recently submitted the Contract Documents for the scheme to my Department for approval. These are under examination and a decision will be made as soon as possible.
